I have recently had the pleasure of receiving a copy of a communication app called TalkRocket Go by MyVoiceAAC. All opinions are my own and have not been influenced in any way.
I recently connected with Tony Gross, community director of MyVoice. Mr. Gross leads customer support, training and relationship development with community agencies. As a parent of a teen with both neurological and physical challenges, Mr. Gross is keenly aware of the needs and challenges facing families and incorporates that experience into MyVoice’s truly personal support.
“The first time I touched an iPad and tried TalkRocket Go”, says Mr. Gross “I was so impressed with the accessibility and potential for my daughter and for the many young people I knew personally living with little or no speech, I had to be part of the company. I am very proud to be part of enabling and empowering people to lead more independent lives.”
When Mr. Gross contacted me about TalkRocket Go, I was so impressed that not only did I want to help in any way that I could, I was also extremely honored to have an opportunity to do so.
So what is TalkRocket Go? Well, get ready to be amazed!

TalkRocket Go is a communication app that was created in 2011 to help children and adults with communication disabilities that otherwise cannot speak out loud. This app allows people who have so much to say but can’t voice their thoughts, to be heard and understood. TalkRocket Go can be an incredibly useful tool for people living with:
• Autism Spectrum Disorders
• Aphasia, Apraxia, Ataxia, Dysarthria
• Cerebral Palsy
• Developmental Disability and Delay
• Parkinson’s Disease
• Traumatic Brain Injury
• Brain Cancer
• Down Syndrome
• And many other challenges…
What is also very interesting and quite unique is that this app can also be purchased in French. This is fabulous! To my knowledge, there isn’t any other app in the French language that compares to this.
I was truly so excited to try TalkRocket Go and when I did I was floored. I found this app very easy to use, fun to navigate and very creative. TalkRocket Go is made up of three parts: The Navigation Bar at the top, Vocabulary Window in the middle and View Menu at the bottom. The buttons are bright and large enough to tap even for someone with great physical challenges. It already comes with basic vocabulary installed. All you have to do is add to it and adapt it to your (or your loved one’s) needs. You can add pictures to your vocabulary for easy recognition. You can create sentences for when you go to the bank, the coffee shop, the restaurant etc.
Here is a short video tutorial on TalkRocket Go.
TalkRocket Go is the number one medical app in Canada and the USA; it is Apple recommended for Special Education; it has received 5 stars on the app store in Canada and the UK.
